Wanna know what I’ve been up to lately? Well, I am now a certified first aider. I just finished my training two days ago. It was hella fun, I’m telling ya. So yes, I learned about doing CPR, rescue breathing, bandages and some other basic stuff. Totally amazing! Hahaha. One of my friends told me ‘kung ano ano nalang’ meaning like you’re so random—that’s the closest I could think of a translation lol sorry if it didn’t do any justice. And yes, I was pretty much so bored I thought why not sign up for a first aid class.
Fast forward to now, I’m currently on the road of editing another video. Finally, right? Another inspiration has landed on me and I am not letting it go. That’s according to Big Magic, my new favorite self-guided book. It says that once the inspiration shows up, use it until it leaves you because it’s not going to be with you all the time, which is basically true to me. I don’t always feel the urge to do things just sometimes maybe when I’m being visited by the god of inspiration.
But here’s a hiccup to that, I can’t stop watching vlogs. HAHA. I have this new favorite Japanese vlogger. His YouTube channel name is FumiShun BASE. In such a short span of time, I think I may have already watched almost all of his video. I find him so funny and interesting. Not just that, but I have a crush on Yuyu—not sure if I remember his name correctly—because he kinda reminds me of Oguri Shun, which is another one of my fave Japanese actors. Uggh, Japan. Take me there!!!!
Anyway, I need to work…
I get questions on how I edit my pictures. I used to edit using VSCO but sometimes, it’s not just enough. So I switched to using Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Classic. LR Presets are installable photo effects or filters that can quickly improve mood and color of a photo with just a click. You need to have the desktop version for it to use or you can get it here.
Since you know how much I love, love you guys, I decided to share some Lightroom Presets that I’ve made. I hope you like them and tell me what you think about it. If you like some more, I could make a bundle pack. And I’ll let you guys know.
I’ll try to add a few more presets now and then, so try to check from time to time. And you should be set by following this instructions on importing and using the presets!
Urban Japan Preset
two (2) presets available: Day Version and Night Version
Japan Presets, these two presets gives a traditional look for your every outtakes. The UJ day preset gives your picture a green hue which complements the green surroundings of the country or any Southeast Asian countries. On the other hand, the UJ night preset gives that comic vibe reflecting on colorful street signage. I made two versions just because the settings are different depending on the time of the day. Although, inspired by Japan, this can be widely used in any other photos from around the world!

100 SUBSCRIBERS IN YOUTUBE?! You guys are the best!!!!!
Last 4 months, I began being active in the YouTube community wherein I constantly post—is posting two videos in four months considered constant?—and actively comment on videos to sub on my channel haha. It gives me great joy to share my videos on the internet. Of course, there’s the hope of getting known duh, but nope it’s not my first priority. These past months, I have learned to love YouTube. I have been watching nonstop YouTube videos about almost anything but mostly about travel vlogs and tutorials on cinematic videos. I have also learned more stuff about editing and using transitions to enhance and to make sick edits lol oh yeah. I can’t explain how much excitement I feel when I edit or when I take videos of myself and other people. Even my friends now call me “vlogger”, I don’t exactly feel shy when I vlog around but I’m not totally confident yet. I haven’t even got past the point of being able to talk in front of the camera with my friends around. I mean I hate speaking in front of people I have the phobia and all but I just love the concept of vlogging that it makes it want to overcome that fear. Ever since I was kid, I have been recording through my phone and camera. I remember using Windows Movie Maker to compose a compilation of my photos and make it into a video with background music.
Anyway, I am planning to upload videos for as long as it gives me happiness. It’s actually quite fun and rewarding to be able to receive comments and love from people you don’t know! I feel like this is my one of my true hobbies in life. And I think I’m going to be doing this for a long time.
PLEASE SUBSCRIBE TO MY CHANNEL!!!! IT WOULD MEAN THE WORLD TO ME AND MY DREAMS. I subscribe back, you guys! I’m actually looking to do a collab. Hmu if you want! 🙂
Word Prompt #5:
I’d Like to Try
…getting a film making credentials or attending a workshop on how to film videos. Great cinematic films always interest me and I wanted to be able to do it. It brings me joy to collect footages and create a one finished story out of it. I hope that I would have the inspiration and courage to pursue it in the future.
Guys…I’m thrilled to know this person even though I haven’t met him personally. We’ve known each other since last year from a mutual friend but we just started having real conversation a few days back. I mean it’s like bam we just suddenly hit it off! We were talking about animes until he brought up blogging up until vlogging was mentioned. He is so interested in starting his own vlog he bought equipment just yesterday lol talk about impulsive buying. But he said it was one of the best decisions ever! I’m glad and super excited for him. Like oh my god. I can’t believe I never knew this guy back in college. We went to the same university, btw. He’s a lower level though, hence a baby boy!
His full name is Takehiro Fujikawa or “Tacky” for short. He migrated in Japan now with his family. But he grew up in the Philippines with his mom. I don’t know him that well, yet. Just getting there,I guess. And I can’t wait to unravel more craziness from this chibi. So, we’ve talked which cameras to buy. He decided for Sony RX100 V but unfortunately, the model wasn’t available so he settled for Canon G7x II—MY RECOMMENDATION AND CHOICE! Lol. Yeah I’m supposed to buy one too on my birthday but they don’t have it here in Naga so I’m gonna have to wait until I get my hands on it. It’s funny how the first time we talked he was like “NEVER IN MY WILDEST DREAM TO DO VLOG” but alas the saying NEVER SAY NEVER has never been true when he posted his first ever video in YouTube five days after.
Pretty crazy, huh? Well, that’s my influence right there you folks. 😹 But damn, this kid has potential yo. He’s so randomly funny that his videos are spontaneous and full of humour. He speaks a lot of hugot in his videos and if you can’t understand Tagalog, it’s not for you. Haha. But really, he does have a talent for creating comedy content. And I hope that in the future he will get known for that. Now, go check out Tacky’s channel and don’t forget to subscribe.
P.S. He’s one of those people who give super touchy birthday message ever. I almost cried, you guys.
